Baby Sandy II, WW2 B24 Bomber

These are old photos that some would have seen already. I have been going back over some of my old stuff and reprocessing them with a better understanding of how to post-process without killing the photo. I'm still learning, but I can see the way I am doing it is better than before. These photos came out of the camera with a very green cast. Taken with an Oly' C5060 with Inon Dome/Wide Wet Lens.

These photos were taken on Majuro Atoll in the Marshall Islands group. I'm told that since these photos were taken the wreck has broken up.

There is a bit of a story about this wreck if you Google "Baby Sandy II"

Enjoy.

natural light? Depth?
Nice to see different examples of what compacts can do. Maybe it's not time to retire my C7070 yet. I've never even used the fisheye dome.
Nikon D300s in a Nauticam housing, a few Nikor lenses, a couple of inon strobes and ultralight arms to connect them to the housing. Pre May 2010 Olympus C7070, PT027, with the strobes and inon wet lenses (WA, fisheye and close up).

Natural light. 1m deep. The over/under was a bugger because of the air getting in between the port and the back of the wet lens. Just finished a few Bundy 'n' Cokes with the model in the photo next to the engine. Off to bed now.

did you try the rubber band around the join trick to try and keep the water inside the lens? Come on Mick, tell us your secrets. pleeeese.... or did you just jag it?

I had actually drilled holes to allow air to escape, but this also made the water run out well too.

No secret, just lots of bobbing the camera in an out of the water and taking lots of photos to increase the odds of getting one to work. It is a 2 hour boat trip out to where this wreck sits. Majuro is a remote place to get to anyway, so I was only ever going to see this wreck once.
